Jet at The Forum 17th September 2009
Last time I was at The Forum, I was the only photographer in the pit. No such luck this time! I didn’t actually count how many photographers there were, but there were at least ten, if not 15 of us. I don’t think I was the shortest in the pit but I was definitely the one with the smallest camera and lens. Not that I suffer from pixel envy or anything….
On top of trying to negotiate so many bodies, trying to frame the shot so there weren’t any cameras, lenses or heads in the picture, there were the awful lights. With the strong backlight, we now had smoke as well! Thank you lighting guy! But I have to say, things were very civilised in the pit and everyone looked out for each other, which made it a hell of a lot easier. Thank you guys!
I was actually surprised how much Jet rocked and how much I enjoyed them. Unfortunately I had to leave early to start working on the pictures as the publisher of the magazine I was shooting for wanted them that night/early the next morning.
